Coltrin Mortuary and Cremation in Idaho Falls exceeded my expectations. They were recommended by a family member, and I’m very glad I took that advice. My brothers and I had buried my mom almost 3 years ago through another funeral home in the same town, and the difference in experience was clear. Kelby was incredibly helpful, transparent, and compassionate. There were no hidden fees or unexpected costs, and everything was explained clearly. Unlike other places that wouldn’t provide quotes over the phone, Coltrin was upfront and willing to walk me through estimates before we ever met in person. Going through a loss is difficult enough, and not having to worry about the funeral arrangements between the church and Coltrin Mortuary was one less thing I had to carry. Everything was handled smoothly and respectfully. I would confidently recommend them to others.

They are all wonderful there at Coltrin Mortuary! Always kind loving and patient. Doug helped guide us smoothly through every step! We are so very grateful for Dougs hard work he did for us! Thank you for the amazing work you all do at Coltrin mortuary!

Kyle was absolutely mazing! We had to come from out of state, and he made arrangements for us to say our goodbyes and everything as easy as possible. He showed us a tremendous amount of compassion and was so friendly.

Coltrin made our lives peaceful and helped provide caring guidance for my family as I at the unexpected passing of my dad. Kelby and Kyle made things simple for us and went above and beyond to make sure all the details were taken care of. The funeral and burial went smoothly and was a great day for us to celebrate my dad. So glad we had them during this hard time.

My father-in-law, Roger Kunz, died in March just at the time the COVID-19 virus was beginning to shut everything down. He had lived at TPAC in Idaho Falls for the last several years. We were fortunate to be able to gather his belongings and say goodbye to the staff there only a day or two before the center was closed to visitors and family. My wife, Maggi, had made arrangements with Coltrin to provide chapel services, cremation, flowers, guidance, transport, and grave side services for her father in Utah. They were well into providing these when the chapel at the Camp Williams Veterans Cemetery was closed and the Utah governor outlawed group gatherings of greater than 10. My wife was at wits end not knowing what to do. Kyle Larsen with Coltrin was an anchor. He brought his vast experience and contacts forward to offer Maggi comfort, and confidence to be more calm and to navigate this precarious time. The services were postponed until July 23rd. Through the gentle help of her extended family, her own experience and training as a social worker, along with the constant kind support and guidance of Kyle at Coltrin, an appropriate and beautiful service took place including military

This place and the staff were, and continue to be fantastic. We lost our son, he was a stillbirth back in October. As you can expect it was a very difficult time, but they have helped us with each step. They have even kept up on the death certificate of our son, making sure the state does everything correctly. I wish this never had to happen, but since it did my husband and I are so grateful we chose the people here to help us deal with it all.

I was really happy with the way Coltrin Mortuary organized/conducted my Mom's funeral. They were kind, patient, caring and professional. They helped us with every detail and at times went way out of their way to make sure we were happy with the details. I recommend them.
